Accuracy, on the other hand, is very good, with roughly 75 percent of shots locking well enough for typical nonprofessional uses for panning, approaching, and random movements.
The AF system seems to work fairly well with wide apertures on fast lenses, including the 50mm f1. But despite updates to its automatic operation, it's still making unintelligent AF choices, such as always opting to focus on the closest element in the scene. In my opinion, image quality holds up really well up to ISO At ISO , quite a bit of noise is viisble in the shadows the leaves in the background , but it's harder to see in the highlights the flower. One word of caution: if either the camera OR the subject moves during the three exposures, you'll see ghost images in the final photo. Needless to say, this is not an efficient way to quickly switch from stills to video capture and back again. You can leave the main mode dial anywhere you want, flip the lever to movie mode, take video, and then flip the lever back to ON to resume taking pictures. While I probably could do this with a fixed LCD and still get a relatively good composition, I prefer the ability to flip the LCD and position it for maximum visibility.

I used this technique to capture video of my daughter playing soccer, and would have had a tougher time tracking her in the frame with a fixed LCD.
